Principles of Praxeology — Part III: Methodology

This module explores how we can truly understand human action. You’ll learn why the human sciences cannot be treated like physics, how Verstehen (interpretive understanding) helps us grasp motives, and why subjective meaning is central to all social phenomena. We also explore the distinction between a priori reasoning and empirical experience, the role of causality in purposeful action, and real-world applications in climate science and financial markets. The module concludes with methodological individualism—the insight that only individuals act, and all institutions and social outcomes arise from their choices and interactions. If you want to understand society from the ground up, this is the foundation. To gain access to the full lessons, materials, and your Certificate of Completion, click below to start Part III.
