New Course "Principles of Praxeology. Part I" is now live.
The International Mises Academy is pleased to announce the launch of a new foundational course: Principles of Praxeology, taught by Prof. Dr. Antony P. Mueller.
Praxeology — the science of purposeful human action — forms the core of Austrian Economics and offers a powerful framework for understanding economic processes, entrepreneurship, and social interaction. Unlike empirical social sciences or mainstream behavioral approaches, praxeology begins with the universal structure of human action and develops its insights through clear reasoning, logical deduction, and methodological individualism.
This course provides a structured introduction to:
The axiom of purposeful action
Choice, ends, means, and scarcity
Time preference and uncertainty
Entrepreneurship as a discovery process
The limits of central planning
Why praxeology offers insights other disciplines cannot
The material is designed for both beginners and advanced students who wish to understand economic and social phenomena through the lens of human action rather than statistical aggregates or political narratives.
Upon completing the requirements, students may apply to receive an official Certificate of Completion from the International Mises Academy.
